"Beauty in Everything: Exploring the Art of Edna Fortune Lynott" is a celebration and critical exploration of Maryland artist Edna Lynott's prolific painting career, spanning sixty years and over five hundred works. As they have been widely dispersed to collectors, charities, family, and friends over the years, this book is the result of a decades-long family mission to catalog her career and provide a curated look into Lynott's whimsically detailed visual autobiography.
Photographed and edited by two of her granddaughters and curated by her four children, "Beauty in Everything" provides an intimate glimpse into an incredible life through painting.
Lynott was born in Pennsylvania and received her undergraduate degree from Misericordia University in Dallas, Pennsylvania. She has studied under numerous renowned artists on the East Coast and at the Scuola Lorenzo de'Medici in Florence, Italy. Lynott's paintings, executed primarily in acrylic, embrace a wide variety of subject matter including landscapes, interiors, tablescapes, and architecture. She resides in Easton, Maryland and continues to paint at her home studio, where she never tires of the beautiful sunrises over the Tred Avon River.
